Where are Barnett Crossbows Made?

“Barnett” is the brainchild of Bernard Barnett, the individual behind the company who started making crossbows from a small garage in Wolverton, England. As the business grew, operations expanded to Europe and the US, with the first North American factory in 1976 and operations permanently shifting to the US in 2003. The company moved to Tarpon Spring, Florida, in 2008. They also have manufacturing facilities in Louisiana, Utah, and are headquartered in Illinois.

Barnett Crossbow was acquired by Plano Synergy Holdings (PSH), which owns several other hunting brands, including Halo Optics, Bloodsport Archery, and Tenzing. PSH then sold all their brands to Pure fishing, who later sold it to GSM outdoors. In 2021, Barnett was acquired by “Surge Outdoor” (a leading supplier of hunting and outdoor products).

Today, the main lines of Barnett crossbow and main lines of crossbows used in Barnett crossbows are built in the USA. Barnett has been producing some of the best crossbow on the market for almost near sixty years. As a result, its crossbows are mostly noted for their strength, high performance, and overall ease of usage.
