Excalibur Bulldog 440
For winning big games like bear hunting, Excalibur’s Bulldog 440 is a model one can trust with blind eyes. It attains speeds greater than the 440-fps advertised. Bulldog 440 is a real game-changer in crossbow hunting with a draw effort of only 15 lbs. This fast-delivering recurve crossbow only weighs around 8.5 lbs. when fully assembled, making it easier to carry and operate. Equipped with the R.E.D.S suspensions and anti-dry fire safety mechanism, the model offers reduced noise and vibrations, allowing the arrow to shoot accurately. The bulldog 440 has a Pro-Shot ACP (2-stage thumb) trigger that gives the hunters a gun-like feel.
Excalibur Assassin 420 TD
As quick and deadly as an assassin, this Excalibur recurve crossbow model is yet again shifting the game of hunting with its swift ‘assembling and dissembling’ Takedown technology and integration of strong performance. This model is the top line in the Assassin series of crossbows. Delivering a draw weight of 290 lbs. with 14 lbs. of draw effort achieved using an integrated cranking device, the Assassin 420 TD is the perfect pick for hunting faster animals. It silently blows the bolts at a whooping 420 fps speed giving the hunters a robust feel with solid precision and focus. The Assassin 420 TD is best known for its crisp two-stage trigger and an adjustable cheek piece and stock that allows complete control over the shot with accuracy and consistency every time the crossbow is engaged.
Excalibur Assassin 400 TD
Excalibur’s Assassin 400 TD is the second in line of the Assassin series innovated with Quick-Loc™ technology for dead silent power shedding blows. The Assassin 400 TD comes with an integrated cocking device that reduces the time and effort required to engage the crossbow and is very quiet. It is ideal for experienced hunters as it offers high-output express limbs giving a full 400 fps speed, anti-dry fire safety, and an integrated braking system that stops the crossbow from unwinding. This easy-to-operate model has a two-staged lightweight pull trigger, noise dampeners, TACT-100 scope, adjustable cheek pad, and flight arrows with field points.
Excalibur Suppressor 400 TD
Deadly and Quiet, these two characteristics best define Excalibur’s Suppressor 400 TD model. Having the high-output express limbs with 15 in. power stroke and a 325 lbs. draw weight, this recurve crossbow model slashes a full 400 fps blow in every shot. It is both super light and silent due to Aluminium components and Sound Dampening Systems that reduce oscillation, absorb vibration, and lowers noise production. The Suppressor 400 TD also offers easy assembly and integrates the Pro-shot ACP trigger, enabling crisp and smooth control. Coming with a TACT-100 scope, Charger External Cranking system, and Pro-flite arrows, this model is a go-to for experienced archers who like performance and quality at a lower price.
Excalibur Assassin 360
The first in the line of the Assassin Series offered by Excalibur, the Assassin 360 is a recurve model that is lower priced but values high-tech performance. What makes it still the best is the ambidextrous internal cranking system that reduces the draw weight exponentially to a mere 12 lbs. of pull. The model delivers 36- fps speed and is quiet thanks to its Ex-shot sound dampening system and air brakes that reduce noise and absorb vibration while engaged. The trigger combined with the TACT zone scope offers a rifle-like feel. With a natural tree edge finish, it is candy for hunters who like to perform from above the grounds in daylight.
Excalibur Micro 360 TD
Aesthetics of a tree camouflage combined with the featherlight weight; Excalibur Micro 360 TD caters to hunters who prefer intermediary hunting games with dead-silent precision. The model gives the 360-fps speed combined with TakeDown (TD) technology, R.E.D.S sound dampening system, and External Charger cranking aid. Yet it still costs lesser than other models yielding the same results and offering the exact specifications. Ideally, for shooters stepping up their entry-level game, this model provides an anti-dry firing system, one-stage ACP trigger, and a cranking aid that reduces the drawing effort to only 12 lbs. providing the hunters a well-balanced hunting experience.
Where is Excalibur Crossbows Made?
Excalibur is a Canadian-based crossbow and crossbow accessory manufacturing company founded in 1983 by a husband-and-wife team, Bill and Kath Troubridge. From humble beginnings, the first crossbows were designed in a house garage with the mission of producing reliable, efficient, and accurate crossbows. Excalibur crossbows are made at its main headquarters and manufacturing facility (a 400,000 sq ft factory) in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada (about an hour west of Toronto).
Excalibur was acquired in 2013 by “Bowtech” (a main archery equipment manufacturer and a former subsidiary of Savage Sports Corporation); both Excalibur and Bowtech are owned by American equity firm; Northwest Equity Partners.
